Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time position in a health care facility open Monday through Friday except for holidays recognized by the Hemophilia Outreach Center. Expected hours for this opening are 8:00am until 4:30pm.
Summary
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) provides a welcoming environment for our patients and visitors while assisting our world-class comprehensive care team. Needs to be able to work independently. Also, must be organized, self-motivated and resourceful. Must be able to relate to patients in a pleasant and professional manner in person and on the telephone. Needs to work cooperatively with others as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Must have a good knowledge of standard office procedures. Computer skills necessary. Must abide by HIPAA regulations with patient confidentiality.
Essential Functions

Essential Functions
- Front desk responsibilities to include: welcoming all incoming patients and visitors, answering all incoming phone calls and relaying messages promptly, perform opening and closing procedures, checking patients in and out for visits
- Coordinate all patient visits and monitor in-basket within EPIC
- General office responsibilities including data entry, monitor faxes, incoming/outgoing mail, and ordering supplies
- Clinic maintenance such as running dishwasher, routinely clean refrigerator, water plants, and wash linens
- Coordinate individual care needs such as translators and patient transportation
- Deliver labs to the hospital as needed
- Willingness to participate and help with clinic events and programs
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a clinic setting, preferably front desk/reception area
- At least 1 year of EPIC with EPIC scheduling experience required
- EPIC reporting experience preferred
